Terms of Service
Effective date: February 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of EditPilot ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), a Shopify application that provides AI-powered bulk product editing tools. By installing or using EditPilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
EditPilot is a Shopify application that enables merchants to:
- Create and execute bulk product editing tasks using visual conditions or AI commands
- Preview changes before they are applied to your Shopify store
- Schedule tasks to run at specific times or on recurring intervals
- Track task history and roll back changes when needed
EditPilot operates within the permissions granted through Shopify's OAuth authorization process. We only access data necessary to provide the described functionality.
2. Account and Access
To use EditPilot, you must have an active Shopify store and install the app through the Shopify App Store. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your store's use of EditPilot.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use EditPilot for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Shopify's Terms of Service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Use the application to process or store data unrelated to Shopify product management
- Intentionally overload or disrupt the service
- Share, resell, or redistribute access to EditPilot outside your authorized Shopify store
4. AI-Generated Content
EditPilot includes AI-powered features that interpret natural-language commands to generate task configurations. AI-generated configurations are provided as suggestions and should always be reviewed using the preview feature before execution. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all changes before they are applied to your store. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated output for any specific purpose.
5. Billing and Cancellation
EditPilot offers three subscription plans: Basic (free), Advanced ($9.99/month USD), and Professional ($29.99/month USD). Paid subscriptions are billed every 30 days through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Shopify to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on file.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your Shopify admin
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, as billing is managed by Shopify
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice communicated through the app
6. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using EditPilot, you consent to the practices described therein.
7. Intellectual Property
EditPilot, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of EditPilot and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your Shopify store data. We claim no ownership over the content you manage through EditPilot.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including Swiss law:
- EditPilot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of EditPilot shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim
You acknowledge that bulk editing operations carry inherent risk and agree to use the preview and rollback features to protect your data. We strongly recommend reviewing all task previews before execution.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EditPilot and its operators, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the application or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to EditPilot at any time if you violate these Terms or if continued operation is not commercially viable. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Data deletion following termination is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by updating this page with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of EditPilot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Switzerland.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
